Summer Fun Blog

Hello! People who have been reading my blog for so long! You have enjoyed my funny moments, interesting moments, and learning moments. I have enjoyed the comments I have been getting.  We have all shared in my school year. But alas, the school year has come to an end…wait, that is a good thing!
The summer is here! No more getting up early! I can stay up late, play with friends, watch movies…! Summer is great! Things I am going to do in the summer?
Go to the beach
Vacation bible school
Play with friends
Go to Ohio
Have fun!
Go to the movies…hopefully!
And lots more!

Now, you come here to hear about school right? So I guess I can put up with writing one more blog about school. This week has been all testing, and no resting! Yeah. Today, is my last test of sixth grade!-math. I know what you are thinking, “ugh”.  well, so am I. but, do not worry, next year I will write blogs.

For my last blog, I am going to write about things that NEVER HAPPENED AT REAL SCHOOL.
Ate gummy bugs
Ran down street with umbrella
Made airplanes with clay-like that is going to fly!
Got blubberfied and stuck my hand in ice cold water for a long time!
Dressed up like an angel
Made lots of cakes
Made my teacher lunch
Had “wii-cess”
Planned my own schedule.
Went on walks in the middle of school.
Did school in bed
Did school with stuffed animals
Did school in bed, upside down, and with a baby on top of me.

HOW TO MAKE HOMESCHOOLING DISTRACTING:
Have your teacher run past chasing a baby.
Have World War 2 interrupted by “Cuddles the Cow”
In the middle of math, have to change a diaper
During writing, have to explain to a baby how a phone charger works when I know nothing about one.
And so much more!

One last Photo Gallery to tide you over until fall…

Blog of Boredom

Written May 25th

Another blog already?! Wow. It feels like I just wrote one! Haha! Oh well. So what do you want to hear about this week? Hmm. How about…well, how about I recap everything I am doing in all the subjects, you know, just a quick summary.

So, in math, we are learning about units of measurement. You know, liters, yards, quarts, centimeters, that kind of stuff. Not too hard. But not enough to talk a while about.

In science, we are learning about bugs. Yeah, woo hoo. So fun right? We stopped doing the every week science lab with my friends, so not much to tell.

In writing, I had to describe my house and draw a picture of it.

Those are pretty much all the key subjects, besides history, which is still boring as ever, and talking about Latin American history.

Now there is one interesting thing. I had a girls group meet the other day. We decorated shirts for Mary, and we iced and decorated mini cupcakes. Each of us ate like 10 cupcakes! HAHA!

We are almost done with school. So blogs should end after one or two more. But, gee, this looks so short. Well, I did go to an indoor water park.  It was really fun.  I met a friend from theater there. So we hung out. Today I am watching Baby. She is so much fun, but I guess there isn’t really much more to talk about is there?

Here are some pictures from this week...and last (didn't get to the blog last week) : )

Blog.S. Airs

Written May 11th

“Hello.  Get your tickets over there. We will be departing the airport at precisely 9:15 AM.”

“Good morning.  And welcome to U.S. Airways.  I’ll take your luggage.  Please put all liquid items, or metalics into this tray.  thank you.  Please take off your shoes.  Next!”

“…Hello, and welcome to U.S. Airways, non-stop flight to Hawaii. Take off will be in five minutes.”

“Please fasten your seat belts. Please put your trays in the upright position. We are about to take off.  thank you, and have a great flight!”

“The pilot has turned off the seat belt sign.”

“Approximately ten minutes till landing.”

“Please put your trays in the upright position.  We are about to land.  Please fasten your seat belts.”

“Thank you for choosing U.S. airways non-stop flight to Hawaii.”

“Welcome to Hawaii! Aloha.”

“Welcome to the Hawaiian resort.  May I take your bags? Someone is waiting for you in apartment 1-b.”

Well hello there!  Come in, come in! Please, put down your bags.  Have a seat!  How was your week?  Mine was fun…but busy…what with being in theater and all!  But enough about me! How was your flight to Hawaii!?  Well, we are going to have so much fun here.  The pools, the ocean, the sun, the sand!…hey! Speaking of Hawaii, yesterday, my family and I, had a Hawaii day at “school”!  It was to celebrate Fr. Damian day. We dressed in homemade grass skirts, and wore tropical shirts, and had a Hawaiian meal.  then, I baked some colorful cookies.  It was a lot of fun!

While you’re here, why don’t I tell you about the poem I wrote last week.  Oh, it is a nice poem I wrote about theater.  I think it is quite good.  Well, here it is:

Big and wide
Today I will go inside.

Talk very loud!
You must be heard!
Project, project!
Your every word!

Show your emotion
On your face,
Make everyone see,
When you go in this place.

Your no longer yourself,
But you know who you are.
Make everyone know too,
Cause now you’re a star!

This place where you’ll go,
I will now write on this page…
Yes both you and I know,
I’m going ONSTAGE!

Did you like it? Speaking of writing, how about a story? Oh, I have one. It is one that I wrote for school.  You see, in my writing book, they gave me a story (bold) and I had to finish it (not bold).  So here it is…sit back in that leather chair, and feel the breeze from the fan, and listen….

“When the man brought me home from the pound, I realized he had a lot to learn.  He knew almost nothing about how to train dogs.
At first, I thought it would be easy to train him, but after the second day, I knew I had a real job on my paws.  One of the first things that I had to teach him, was when to let me out.  He was a very slow learner.  I didn’t want to, but sometimes, I had to scratch on the door to get him to act right.
Another problem I had, was teaching him about fresh water.  The first day, he came to me, with a pretty, metallic, shiny bowl, that read: “angel”.  I got exited.  The first drink of water at this new home.  He brought it outside. I watched him from the window.  I saw him pick up a dirty hose. The nozzle was filthy.  “no! no!” I thought.  “not the hose!”  Then, he turned on the water.  If he thought he could get away with giving me water from the hose, he was gonna have to think again!
“Come on angel!” he said “drink the water.  It’s good for you.  Nice and fresh.”
Nice and fresh?!  Good for me?!  What a liar!  And he actually wanted me to drink that!  Not happening!  I guess today, my name was going to be a lie.  I put my front paw on the brim of the bowl, and pushed down.  The water came tumbling out.
“Bad girl!” he shouted.  While I was thinking “bad girl? No…bad man!”  then, I grabbed the bowl in my teeth it kept slipping.  I bit his pants.  And looked at the bowl.  He picked it up and headed for the door.  “Oh no you don’t!” I thought “you are not getting more hose water!” I bit his pants and dragged him to the fridge.  quite a job!  Then I clawed at the door.  He looked at the fridge, then at the bowl, and then at me.  We stood there for 19 seconds.  I couldn’t believe this guy!  Finally it kicked in.  He filled my bowl with nice clean fresh, cold fridge water.  I licked it with pleasure.  Then, he said “bed time!”  Oh boy, where did this guy think I was sleeping.  He walked over to the door. He pulled my bed behind him. “Um no.”  I barked and ran to another room.  His TV room I guess.  He followed.  When he caught our with me, I grabbed the bed from him, and laid it down under the “dining room” table.  He turned off the light.  Said “good night angel”  and left the room.  I ran after him “what?” he asked.  I licked his hand.  Then I ran back to my bed.  That was enough  training for today.  I closed my eyes.  The last thought I had before I fell asleep was “dog training? More like people training!”

Did you like it?  Well, it is almost 4:00...So what do you say we hit the beach?  Alright…I’ll meet you there!  Bye!  Oh, I sent some postcards, from my times at home.  Want to see?
