Dolls, Stuffed Animals, and a Poem

Hello again!  How is everyone?  Ok, let’s get started!

Now this week, was quite…interesting.  I wanted a fun way to decide what topic to do first, or next.  So, online, I found a drum roll sound effect, and cheering sound effects.  Then, I wrote all the subjects for the week on pieces of paper. I put them in a bucket.  Next, I shook them up, and had baby pick one.  Then, I would say: “and the next subject is...”  I would press the drum roll thing.  Then I would say the topic written on the piece of paper.  Right after that, I would press the cheering thing.  It made the whole thing sound so cool…but the really weird/fun part, was that I had to act like I was SO exited about the subject.  And I had to do it quick with enthusiasm. It made school fun.  I had to do 14 topics a day.  Unfortunately today, I am stuck with a bunch of long, hard topics.  Wish me luck!

One of the cool topics for this week is Russia, and I had to make these dolls that go inside of each other, well, I just had to paint them…they were already made.  They are pretty cool, but getting them open the first time,  now that was hard!  We pulled, and pulled, but nothing worked.  Finally, I just sat on one end, and pulled with all my might on the other end…it worked!  Yay!

Anyway, I know this isn’t really related to school, but it is interesting, and fun to do, and I would like to tell you about it.  Ok, so, I have a bunch of stuffed animals.  And with my friend, we have weddings for them, and I have this one wedding dress that we always use, and one thing for the man that we always use.  The dress is plain white silk.  And it has a “slip” that puffs up.  It also has a veil.  And the groom’s outfit, is made out of the only black fabric I had at the time, and it looks pretty pathetic now.  I mean, I have to pin it a certain way, and when I can’t remember how to pin it, it looks horrible.  My friend kept saying it looked like rags, and I couldn’t agree more. We were planning to get these two new webkinz.  (those are a brand of stuffed animals, that come with a code to access an online world). We would like to each get the signature webkinz king Charles spaniel.  And we would have them get married.  And be king and queen.  But the wedding outfits, are not…”fit for a king”…or queen!  Ha-ha!  So, I set to work making a new wedding dress, and a new groom’s outfit…I don’t really know what to call that.  But, anyway, they look really cool.  They are not done yet, but when they are, I will post pictures in another one of my blogs.

Now let’s see, I have to think of one more topic to write about.  Hmm, how about poetry!  Yeah!  Ok.  Here it is, a poem. It is about the webkinz that my friend and I plan to get.

A queen,
A king,
They are
Coming.

Everything, we
Are readying
For the newcomers
Perfect wedding.

At their reception,
Many will show.
The beautiful couple,
Their love will grow.

To rule the Webkinz,
To be in charge,
They are perfect,
To rule a land large.

Hope you liked it!  I know I do!

Every day this week, Baby wanted to play with
my lion Charlie & my older sister's bear that
Baby calls "big gummy bear"
She insisted I help her dress them in her clothes!
She wanted to give them a bath and
was crying to put them in the tub,
so I made a pretend bath for her.
...which she wanted to get into herself!
Baby loves piggy-back rides :-)
Studying in bed...
Can you guess what's behind the pillows?
ME!

Well, till next time, bye!

Reading Triple F Cupcakes

Hello again.  This is yet another blog.  Sorry it is late, but we were pretty busy…anyway,
I would like to write about faith fun and friends, yummy crafts, and reading.

I had made a ball of clay and glued beads on to it.  But, baby got to it, and called it a “cupcake”…so, in order to get it back, I made her cupcakes out of clay…and I think they look pretty awesome…have a look…don’t they look real?

With my friend, we have been walking a dog, and training a couple dogs…it worked really well…have a look…in this video http://youtu.be/AmcgLFsUGv8, these dogs had NEVER been trained before.  Anyway, I wanted to get some books on dogs…and I did.  My friend and I read them, they were really cool.  There were so many cute pictures.  And we learned a lot.

At faith fun and friends, we made these cute little prayer books.  First, we had foam books, and some pictures and prayers that we cut out.  Then we glued the pictures and the prayers into the book.  After that, we used stickers, sparkles, markers, and mirrors.  They looked really cool.  We still had some time left over after the craft, so we had a snack of bread and grapes.  The theme was the Eucharist.  We still had time, so we kept hiding one of my friend’s things.  It was so funny!  She would leave the room to find one thing, and we would hide another thing.  She would come back, see that the thing was gone, and go to find that.  Then, we made weird pointless videos.  It was really fun.  We didn’t want to have to go…well, they didn’t want to go, and I didn’t want them to go, but, you get the point!  Anyway, I guess that is it for this blog, but don’t worry, I will have the next blog up either Friday or Saturday…hopefully.  Lets cross our fingers!  Haha.

Blog of Fun!

Week of March 26
(written March 30)

Hi everyone.  So I guess it’s that time again.
What time?
It’s blog time!
Yay!
Oh yeah!
Woo hoo!
Sounds like fun!

Ok. So we have something special for you today…that is me and my imaginary typers.  Say hi guys!
Hi!
Hello!
I am not here!…or am I!
Wow I can see them, but they can’t see me! Haha!
Yo!  wassup!

Now, as I was saying, we have something very special for you.  Instead of having a bag of fun, or a basket of fun, or a closet of wow, we have…can I get a drum roll?

thank you! We have…a blog of fun!  What do we have in our blog of fun?  Well,

We have poetry,
Yes we do!
We have pics galore,
Just for you!
We have critical thinking,
And beautiful inking!
That by the way means art,
But my friends that is just the start!
We have…-

Hey,
What?
That’s the end.
Seriously?
Yeah.  We don’t have anymore interesting topics.
Awe.
But nice poem by the way.
Thanks…but you guys are holding me up I have to get to the next subject.
Oh. Ok bye
Bye
Bye
See yah later!
Ok then.  Well I guess the next thing on my list is:  critical thinking.  Well, here goes nothing.  Ok, so every week, I do this really fun thing in critical thinking.  Now you do the same. Figure out where the colors go.

Here are the directions/clues.
The blue chips are in the same row.
The purple chip is in the same row as the green chip.
The green chip is in the same column as the orange chip.
Both blue chips touch the black chip.
The black chip touches the red chip and the white chip.
The orange chip is directly below a blue chip.
The orange chip is directly to the left of the red chip.
The black chip is the center.

Use these chips.!.!.!

What does your image look like?  Does it look like this?…and don‘t lie.  Well this is what it is supposed to look like.

Let‘s see what my imaginary writers got.  Shall we?  Hey guys, what did you get?  I got this; isn't it pretty!?
Well you followed most of the steps but not all.
I think I got all correct.  Come look at mine!
Perfect that is correct.  Well I will check the rest of yours later.  Now on to the next subject.

Alright.  Now it is time to see what I drew this week.  I was I the mood for drawing, so I drew a dragon.  Doesn’t have anything to do with topics this week, but it rhymed in my poem, and I wanted to show you, so here it is.
Drum roll!

Tada! How does it look?

Rummy Roots, box, and a long playdate

Hey everybody!  It’s me…again.  I'm a little behind in blogging!  Actually, I wrote them each week, we just didn't get around to posting them.  I have written about a couple of things that I normally don’t write about.  For example, rummy roots.  And, I didn’t really do that much these weeks, so I wrote about a craft that I worked on.  Last, I wrote about a very long play date.  Alright, so let’s get started.

***********
Week of Feb 27th

Now Rummy Roots is like Go Fish… and my mom and I were trying to work ahead one day, so instead of ten cards a person, she gave each of us half the deck.  We first put out the pairs that we had in our hand, and then we were to ask questions like “do you have time?”…to ask that, you would have to have chronos, it’s mate.  So I asked first, “do you have meter-metron?”  she gave it to me.  Then I asked for “to see”  she gave it to me.  Do you see something wrong?  I did.  I said “you know I’m gonna win, right?”  we both started laughing really hard!  For like 3 minutes strait!  Ha-ha.
Baby playing Rummy Roots with her animals!

Ok so I have a type of stuffed animal called Webkinz.  They are really fun.  I have just over 40 different ones!  Well, I decided to make a room for one of them out of a card board box.  I cut the box so that it lay on it’s side.  There were two large walls, and one small wall.  The other small side of the box I used as a door.  I cut out poster board for the bottom and hot glued some green knit to it.  Then, I painted the inside of the box blue.  I taped grey paper to the out side of the box and painted squares on it.  For stones.  Then I glued green tissue paper to the bottom of the out side for bushes.  I tapped paper flowers on it, and green string vines.  It looked really cool.  On the inside, I glued pink paper to the top of the box.  Then I painted the door brown and gold.  After that, I made chairs by gluing blue fabric to boxes.   Last, I cut out a window and added white curtains.  Then it was done.

Week of March 5th

Last week, I worked ahead…a lot.  I did all my work on one day.  What did I do on the rest of the days you might ask?  Well, M.S.’s little brother was in the hospital, so she had the next two week’s off of school.  So every day, except my school day, I went over to her house.  We had tons of fun.  We played with our Webkinz, and on Friday had a sleepover.  For the school part, every thing was basically the same.

Week of March 12th

This week, I did school every day, but I did it in a way that was much easier.  I had worked ahead on a couple subjects, so I only had five subjects left…one for each day of the week!  I only worked on one subject each day…plus we ended up bumping two to next week.  So I had a very easy week.  Today is Friday, and this is all the school I have to do-the blog.  Every thing was the same as normal so not much to talk about…well that’s not true, I could explain everything, but by the time you were half-way through reading it, you would be bored, and on the brink of sleep.  And, I played with MS almost every day.
